FC Sion kick off a busy week on Tuesday! The Valais outfit take on Xamax on Tuesday in an advanced match on the 32nd day of the Challenge League. Just a few days after their victory in Nyon, Didier Tholot's men have another derby to contend with in French-speaking Switzerland.
The context
Les Sédunois returned to winning ways on Friday with a 4-0 victory over Stade Nyonnais. The win ensured that they remain top of the Challenge League table until the end of the day. Thanks to this success and, above all, this shutout (the 14th in the league this season), the Valaisans remain the best defence and best attack in the league.
Berdayes, Chouaref, Schmied and Lavanchy could be suspended if they pick up a yellow card against Xamax.
The opposition
After going three games without a win, Neuchtâtel Xamax beat FC Schaffhausen at La Maladère last Friday. With this favourable result, the Neuchâtel outfit ended a run of three games without a goal. Uli Forte's side have lost just once in their last six games, against Aarau at the beginning of March. In the standings, Xamax are fourth, two points behind third-placed Aargau.
The stakes
A few weeks ago, Valais and Neuchâtel drew 0-0 at La Maladière. Following FC Sion's qualification for the Swiss Cup semi-finals, the fourth and final derby between Sion and Xamax will take place on Tuesday. In Tourbillon, the Sédunois will again be looking to consolidate their top spot before a busy and undoubtedly decisive month of April!

Tickets for this derby are available from our online ticketing service at special rates. We strongly advise you to buy your ticket before the match.
The stadium gates are due to open at 7pm for the North tier and 7.15pm for the other sectors.
Canteens will be available from 18:15 in the North Stand and in the FC Sion village! Don't hesitate to come and share a good time before and after the match. Chips, grilled meats, raclette, sandwiches, everything will be ready for you! Our partner Viva Pizza will be serving pizzas, while 83 Street Food will be serving kebabs at Les Murailles.

Car parks
Please use the hospital car park and the footbridge leading to the stadium. The usual car parks are open, but spaces are limited! We advise you to leave a safety margin in your planning and to arrive early at Tourbillon.
