FC Sion would like to extend its warmest thanks to Gaëtan Karlen for his commitment and dedication to his beloved club! The player has always been committed to the collective interests of the Valais club, and we are grateful to him for that.
The striker's contract, which expires on 30 June, will not be extended.
Gaëtan Karlen, who returned to his hometown club in 2020, has played 84 times for the Valais outfit since his return, scoring 15 times in the process. Some of those strikes will go down in the club's history, such as the goal he scored against Servette FC in 2022. He also played a key role in keeping the club in the top flight in 2021, with a decisive end to the season.
We wish Gaëtan Karlen all the best for the rest of his professional career and for his private life. He will forever be part of the Red and White family!
