As part of the "Sion 2030" project, FC Sion is delighted to announce the appointment of Marco Degennaro as the club's new General Manager. He will take up his new post at the beginning of April.

A well-known figure at Sion, Marco Degennaro previously held such a position between 2015 and 2021. Now 53, the Italian-born Degennaro returns to Sion after three successful years at FC Yverdon-Sports. Under his management, the Vaud-based club stabilised in the professional world and even climbed into the Super League.

In Valais, Degennaro will fill a position left vacant by the departure of Massimo Cosentino in the summer of 2022. His main task will be the overall management of the club and its projects, alongside our President, Christian Constantin, our sporting director, Barthélémy Constantin, and our director of football, Pablo Iglesias.

This commitment is part of the club's development on sound and solid foundations. It also aims to build on the work done in recent months, particularly since the club's relegation to the Challenge League.

Marco Degennaro will be presented to journalists in April. An official invitation will be sent to media representatives.
