Kevin Fickentscher's contract expires on 30 June, but he will still be working for FC Sion in the coming season. The goalkeeper and the Valais club have agreed to continue working together in a dual role. The goalkeeper, who joined the club in 2009, will begin his professional transition within the training department.
In addition to his role as a player in the U21 squad, Kevin Fickentscher will also take up a position as goalkeeping coach with the elite side. He will be in charge of developing the club's young goalkeepers to help them reach their full potential.
This dual role is excellent news for FC Sion, as the club can count on an experienced player who will help the young players to identify with the club's values.
FC Sion would also like to thank him for his loyalty and exemplarity on and off the pitch for more than a decade.
