Didier Tholot and Liam Chipperfield met journalists in the early afternoon for the traditional pre-match press briefing ahead of Saturday's match in Baden (18:00).

Here are the highlights of the press conference:

Didier Tholot, on the international break:
"We had a good break. We followed the programme we had set out. As soon as the Wil match was over, the players had a few days' rest. We played a friendly match where everyone got some game time. We won and scored goals, so that's good. We tried to keep up the intensity and even though it was a friendly, we were in the competition."

Didier Tholot, on the match against Baden:
"They're an opponent we shouldn't underestimate. They haven't lost a game since our first meeting. I'm expecting a complicated match on a synthetic pitch. We'll have to be solid, play well and win. We're coming off two good wins, but we can't rest on that. We often have to do even more. Nobody's going to give us points, so it's up to us to go out and get them.

Didier Tholot, on Liam Chipperfield:
"He's a young player who's progressed since arriving here. He has an extraordinary shot quality. He still lacks volume and could be more dynamic, especially in his runs. He has great development potential and is one of the important players for the team, whether he starts or comes on as a substitute."

Liam Chipperfield, on coming to Valais:
"I'm very happy to be here. I've been very well received by the team. This is a big step forward for me in my career. I don't see it as a step back at all. The Challenge League is not an easy championship, there are some good opponents, but FC Sion must be in the Super League. From the very first discussions with Barthélémy Constantin, I felt that they wanted me to be part of this project. For me, it's the right decision because I can expect to get some playing time. I felt a great deal of confidence in myself from the moment I arrived."

Liam Chipperfield, on his position on the pitch and his start to the season:
"On the pitch, I can play in a number of positions. In our system, I can play in all three midfield positions or on the right wing. I need to build on my performances at the start of the season. I've scored goals, but the most important thing is the team's success. I'm very focused on soccer and FC Sion."

Baden - Sion on Saturday at 18:00 at the Esp Stadion!
