Didier Tholot and Reto Ziegler met journalists at the traditional pre-match press conference on Thursday, 24 hours before the second derby of the season in French-speaking Switzerland.

Here's what to take away from the press conference:

Didier Tholot, on the defeat to Thun:
"For 70 minutes, we certainly played our best game. Unfortunately, the result didn't go our way. In recent games, we've had an efficiency problem. We need to be more deadly and more lucid. We're letting points slip through our fingers, and that's a shame. When I see the other results and the current standings, it really gets on my nerves. With a positive result, we'd be talking differently today. We need to learn from what happened and play with our heads. In terms of desire, I can't fault my players. On the other hand, it's impossible to take three goals in 15 minutes."

Didier Tholot, on the game against Neuchâtel Xamax:
"When you lose, it's good to get on with it, because it doesn't give you time to think. There's no ideal opponent to get up against, you just take whoever comes along. We're going to Neuchâtel to get something out of the game. They're a team that lost to Baden, but they've also rotated a bit. It's a derby, and it's up to us to get the ingredients right. When you get slapped in the face, you either turn the other cheek, or you stand up again."

Didier Tholot, on FC Sion's recent matches:
"The figures are average. What leaves me positive is that we're seeing some content. We're also less successful. Against Baden, we hit the woodwork twice early on. At Schaffhausen, we came back well after a poor first half and also hit the bar. We'll have to reckon with the results at the end of the season, but we're on the right track. We won't be far behind, and I'm staying positive, because if you play well over the course of the season, you'll do well.

Reto Ziegler, on the end of the game against Thun:
"Not easy to take. In fact, it was very frustrating. We felt in control against a good opponent. Our advantage was totally deserved until 2-1. You could have tied the game, but you can't lose. We lost three points on Monday. We only have ourselves to blame, and we can't let that happen again. It's up to us to be a little more clever at times like that.

Reto Ziegler, on the match against Neuchâtel:
"Every match has its own story. You shouldn't look at the statistics or the results of recent games. They have an experienced coach who can motivate his players. I'm expecting a tough match, especially on a synthetic surface. It will be up to us to put our individual and collective qualities to the test. We're all united behind the same objective. Our confidence is still there, and we know we can beat any team. The important thing is to be a real team in a championship like this. We'll be looking to respond at La Maladière.

Neuchâtel Xamax - Sion, 8.15pm tomorrow at Stade de la Maladière!
