FC Sion beat Stade Nyonnais on Friday evening. In Tourbillon, the Valais outfit beat the Vaud side 1-0. Dejan Sorgic was the only scorer on the night. The result puts Sédun seven points clear of FC Thun!

The reactions

Ail Kabacalmann, FC Sion player.

"It was a great evening. We'd have signed up for something like it straight away. We hadn't even thought about the game against FC Thun yet. Stade Nyonnais are a good team, and we knew it was going to be a complicated, hard-fought game. We were 100% focused on the moment.

"Stade Nyonnais were solid defensively and their goalkeeper made a lot of saves. We were able to create a lot of chances. That was very positive. But we had to remain calm and patient. We've been in situations like that before and it paid off in the second half.

"The aim now is to recover well before travelling to Thun. It's a small final for us against the only team that has beaten us this season."
